Did you know Hearth and Soul is opening our next home in Atlantic Beach next week?You may be wondering, why Atlantic Beach and why open a third bricks and mortar at this time? The answer lies in my desire and Hearth and Soul’s vision to impact community and bring unique collections and experiences to growing communities.
When Hearth and Soul was founded 10 years ago, the vision included a slow and steady expansion into communities where I have established relationships, where there is a growing economic presence, and where there is an opportunity to fulfill unmet needs. When we had to make the difficult decision to close our Austin store after six amazing years due to a landlord change, we continued our research on next hometowns for Hearth and Soul. That research included trips and evaluation of Tampa, Atlanta, Birmingham, Ocala, Jacksonville, and Nashville. The site visits along with the research and recommendations we have received from our customers over the last 10 years put Atlantic Beach and Ocala at the top of the list for this next phase of engagement. Both communities are fast growing and both include established friendships.
The next big part of the decision falls to location, location, location. With my son having lived in Neptune Beach for the last four years we have fallen in love with the community. We started working with local realtors and friends almost a year ago, and discovered the Island Donuts location at 363 Atlantic Boulevard, part of the thriving Town Center community where Atlantic Beach borders Neptune Beach and serves the entire east coast north beaches area from Atlantic down to Nocatee.
With the incredible hospitality and advice of friends like Demory Boeneke and Gentry and Chanell Pelham, we have quickly met amazing friends and are getting great feedback on the community needs that Hearth and Soul can fulfill. We have found incredible team members to serve the community and are putting all of the pieces in place for our Hearth and Soul Beaches grand opening on November 14!
